100 pushups

Rosh shared this site, hundredpushups where where they have a program, by following which you can do 100 consecutive pushups at the end of 2 months. I decided to try that out. I happened to fall in the 11-20 pushups group in the initial test, not bad you would say :-P.... Today was the first day.. I am supposed to do this 3 days a week, but I plan to do it as many days in a week as I can.... I did 5 sets today of 10, 8, 8,  10 and 12(that was the max i could do) pushups..... lets see how I fare tomo... planning to keep a track on the blog.....

Update(02/01/09) ; started the year on a good note i guess... :-)... happy that I managed to do the push ups today also....

Week 1,
30/12/08, Day 1 ; 5 sets ; 10, 8, 8,  10 and 12(that was the max i could do)
31/12/08, Day 2 ; 5 sets ; 10, 12, 8, 8, and 13(max that i was able to do)
02/01/09, Day 3 ; 5 sets ; 11, 15, 9, 9, and 18(max that i was able to do)

Week 2,
05/01/09, Day 1 ; 5 sets ; 14, 14, 10, 10 and 8(I should have done at least 15, could manage only 8, which is bad...:-( )

07/01/09, Day 2; 4 sets ; 16, 12, 14, 8
I was supposed to do 14 in the 4th set and 17 in the last.. I was not able to complete the 4th set.. This really sad and pathetic... My body is in really really bad shape...

Update(12/01/09) ; I did not complete week 2 last week, as I was out of pune on a trip to nanded. I will  repeat week 2 as I was not able do week 2 day 1 and day 2 properly.

Week 2, (Repeat)
12/01/09, Day 1 ; 5 sets ; 14, 14, 10, 10, 15(had to do atleast 15, did that. Last time I could only manage 8, so some improvement for sure. :-))

14/01/09, Day 2 ; 5 Sets ; 14 16 12 12 20
I am glad, that I was able to complete the 5 sets... did 20 in the last set(17 was atleast).. A good feeling to have completed the sets...

16/01/09, Day 3 ; 5 Sets ; 16, 17, 14, 14, 23(20)
managed to finish week 2 properly this time around... :-).... Will take up the progress test this sunday to gauge my improvement...

Test After Week 2 : Managed to do 28 pushups.

Week 3
19/01/09, Day 1; 5 sets ; 14 18 14 14 20
Decent progress so far... lets see how week 3 turns out....

21/01/09, Day 2; 5 sets ; 20 25 15 15 25

23/01/09, Day 3; 5 sets ; 22 26 20 16(20) 22(28)

Week 3 comes to an end, will start week 4 from monday and lets see how I will do week 4....

Week 4(I shud have updated this last week, but the lazy me)

27/01/09, Day 1; 5 sets; 21 25 21 21 28(32)

29/01/09, day 2; 5 sets; 25, 29, 25, 19(25), 28(36)
did not do the complete reps in the last 2 sets.

31/01/09, Day 3; Slept thru the morning.. :-(
Decided to repeat week 4 again from Monday.

02/02/09, Woke up late and had to rush to office... :-(

Week 4(Repeat)
03/02/09, Day 1; 5 sets; 21, 25, 21, 21, 30(32)
Also started my walking/jogging routine in the morning today again after about a week's break or was it 10 days break. Glad that i started again.

According to me if you just update this post and put the date & sets you did in this post only.. it will make a better record .. and it will be interesting to go through the record & see your progress.. Might inspire some of us as well [:)]
